Aquatic Environments, Inc. specializes in the design, development, and installation of state-of-the-art Life Support Systems for aquarium, marine science centers, and research facilities.
Founded in 1979, Aquatic Environments, Inc. is a full service company committed to providing reliable and technologically advanced aquatic environments. With a complete range of services, Aquatic Environments is able to offer the expertise and flexibility to contribute to all phases of Life Support Systems planning, design, installation, and oversight of operations start-up.
Aquatic Environments, Inc. has earned a reputation as skilled in designing and building Life Support Systems including foam fractionation, rapid sand filtration, bio-filtration, ozone disinfection and oxidation, bio re-mediation and manufacturing of seawater. Although Aquatic Environments is capable of both the design/build scope, AE is flexible and has worked as a team member with architects and engineers as a consultant and installer of Life Support Systems. In this capacity Aquatic Environments can assist in identifying the best LSS strategies for exhibits. AE will provide additional review of LSS design drawings. They will then produce Auto Cad Life Support Systems schematics and shop drawings for engineer's approval. In this effort AE compliments, but not duplicates, the design personnel who may have that scope. AE would also be responsible for the field aspects of construction administration, based on their expertise in the installation of LSS - providing a prime role during the start-up and commissioning of LSS.
Aquatic Environments' design process is a collaborative one which is designed to provide as much flexibility for the architect, animal husbandry staff and exhibit designers as possible.
AE's experience extends around the globe from NMMB/A Taiwan Aquarium Project and Bahrain to numerous lacations throughout the U.S., including the renowned New England Aquarium, Boston and the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and numerous others.
